T.I. and Tameka Cottle Arrested For Drug Possession
Rapper T.I. and his new wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, 36, were arrested late Wednesday night and booked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies collared the couple on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood around 10:30 p.m. during a traffic stop. An officer smelled marijuana and searched the car – shades of Paris Hilton and Cy Waits.
The arresting officer discovered drug evidence and the couple was taken into custody, according to L.A. deputy Mark Pope. This is certainly bad news for the 29-year-old Grammy-winning rapper whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. He is currently on probation following a stint in federal prison for a weapons violation.
Bail has been set at $10,000. T.I. and Tiny were released from the West Hollywood sheriff’s station at 4:00 a.m. this morning.
T.I. co-starred as a ghost in the movie Takers. The flick hit theaters over the weekend and grossed $20.5 million – beating out the rest of the competition, according to Box Office Mojo.
